Privacy Policy
Who we are
Commit Central ("the app," "we," "us") is an iPhone app that helps coaching staffs organize recruiting and message college coaches from their own phones. This policy explains what information the app handles, what stays on your device, and what syncs to your team account.
Information that stays on your device only
- Contacts & phone numbers. With your permission, the app reads contacts you choose so you can add coaches and players and text them. Phone numbers are stored only on your device. They are never transmitted to our servers, never shared with teammates, and never sent to any third party. If a teammate has shared a coach with your team, you can only text that coach if you separately have their number in your own phone.
- Local app data. Message templates, send history, and tags are kept on your device.
- Notifications. Reminder notifications are scheduled locally on your device.
Information we collect and store (your team account)
The app uses a secure cloud backend so a coaching staff can share one roster and recruiting board. When you create an account and a team, the following is stored on our backend (hosted by Supabase) and shared with members of your team:
- Account information: your email address and an encrypted password (used to sign you in), and a display name you provide.
- Recruiting data you enter: coach names, titles, and email addresses; school names; player names and details (such as sport, graduation year, position, height, weight, GPA, and notes); recruiting status; highlight links; groups; and reminders, including who a reminder is assigned to.
This information is used solely to operate the app's features for you and your team. It is not used for advertising, and we do not sell it.
How messages are sent
When you send outreach, the app opens Apple's native Messages composer prefilled with your text, one recipient at a time. You tap Send yourself. Messages are sent from your own phone number through Apple's Messages app — the app does not send texts on your behalf, does not use any third-party SMS service, and does not route your messages through our servers.
Who can see your data
Recruiting data you add to a team is visible to members of that team. Access is restricted by row-level security so only members of your team can read or change your team's data. Phone numbers are excluded from all of this — they are never on our servers, so no teammate can see them through the app.
Service providers
We use Supabase to host the database and handle authentication. Supabase processes this data on our behalf. We do not include advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking SDKs. Messages you choose to send are handled by Apple's Messages service under Apple's privacy policy.
Deleting your account and data
You can permanently delete your account at any time from inside the app: open Profile → Delete account. This deletes your login, your display name, and your team memberships from our servers and signs you out. Shared roster and recruiting data that your team relies on remains with the team. Phone numbers, which live only on your device, are removed when you delete individual records or delete the app from your iPhone. To request deletion by email instead, contact us at the address below.
Data retention
We keep your team's data for as long as the account and team exist. When you delete your account, your personal account information is removed as described above.
Children's privacy
Commit Central is intended for coaches and other adults managing athletic recruiting. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how information is handled, we will update this policy and the "Last updated" date above.
